Dear Ms Lepeskova,

I am writing you today as you are the official National Contact Point for the Better Training for Safer Food initiative. We are pleased to invite your country to participate to the first and the second specific training session on Animal Identification, Registration and Traceability.

The Consumers, Health And Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA) is organising, on behalf of the European Commission’s Health and Consumers Directorate-General (DG Sanco), a cycle of 10 training sessions in the field of mainly for EU Member States within the Better Training for Safer Food initiative. In total, 280 participants coming from selected Member states and other countries will be invited to each training session.

The courses of the training period 2014/2015 will take place in France, Germany, Poland and Portugal and the next ones, for which your country is invited, are the following:

Training:Training 01 – Animal Identification, Registration and Traceability

Date: 02. – 06. June 2014

Location: Lyon, France

Number of places assigned to Czech Republic: 1 place

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION RECEPTION: 25. April 2014

and

Training: Training 02 – Animal Identification, Registration and Traceability

Date: 23. – 27. June 2014

Location: Munich, Germany

Number of places assigned to Czech Republic: 2 places

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION RECEPTION: 09. May 2014

Training session language(s): English

Target Group: Officials involved in control activities and officials involved in the design, management and operation of animal identification, registration and traceability.

The aim of the training course on Animal Identification, Registration and Traceability is to spread the knowledge and best practices for the implementation and control of animal identification, registration and traceability systems.

A limited number of places at each seminar has been allocated to each country. Please find stated above the number of available places for your country for this seminar.

Attached to this email please find the single registration form template (2013-96-03-Animal IRT_Information to NCPs_Registration form). We would appreciate if you could send us the registration form giving a new name as indicated: "Session n°_Country_Family name", for example "Session1_Germany_Zipper".

We would encourage you to send additional registration forms the soonest to be included in a reserve list.

The European Commission will fund travel costs, accommodation, meals and field visits in full. No daily allowance will be paid on top of this. Any other cost is to be paid by the participants. For the organisation of seminar CHAFEA has contracted ADT Projekt GmbH, who will contact the participants for the practical arrangements.

The seminar will be conducted in English. Please make sure that each nominated participant has a good working level of English.

Please note that, in order to avoid attendees having a very different level of knowledge of the subject exposed, all candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in the relevant field.

All participants should also commit themselves to disseminate the knowledge received. We would kindly request you to nominate the participants for the above mentioned training session and to return the completed Training Registration Forms (template attached to this email) for the selected participants to us by e-mail by 25. April 2014 for the first training session and by 09. May 2014 for the second training session.

All further information should be channelled through National Contact Points. This is particularly important as regards details of candidatures for training participation, as only you can officially submit them to the contractor.
